I Jerry Gatlin, like this Ecotric Hammer, Fat Tire, E bike, one thing I hope the Designer's, builder's will do is make them go fast enough, to keep up with Los Angeles City Traffic. 1-24-22...
rear flat on 3rd night coming home from work on a highway shoulder to start, but let's talk details and simple mods, i listed pros and cons below, however a few things need to be addressed: there are no thornproof innertubes for this tire size in these already thin tires with spacious tread, so they literally are susceptible to picking up all kinds of sharp oddities you would find on your standard road, but in this case even a sandspur or small cactus could pop the tire, so i spent an additional $150 getting kevlar strips installed, and you're also looking at spending additional $$$ getting fenders installed or you'll be kicking up any and all water and debris on your back and face, I also find myself spending additional $$$ installing both front and back lights because the front light is rather weak and powered by double or triple A batteries, and there are no rear lights, also look at spending money on a rack mount, but beware other brands may not fit so there's that hassle too, the battery is ok, the brakes are nice, but ok for the size, and the display is ok, inverted color at night would be cool so it doesn't blind you, OVERALL I would say I love the style but be warned it's tall! It can take a beating, it's heavy duty! and can take most if not severe weather!! i would say only a flood would invade it's electronics!
Note to the Development and Design teams: Basically it's an OK model but needs an update, Especially for the Price. Consider making a Rackmount with a Rear/Brake light and a Powerful Front light powered by it's own battery, Fenders, and Improved Tires standard issue for This Ebike. Only Then would I say it would be worth $1500. Otherwise this is a $900 bike with an inflated price tag.
-waterproof in normal storms
-thin tire rubber, spacious tread, No Thornproof Innertubes on the market
-weak front light, no brake light, Needs Powered Front and Brake lights.
-ok battery life but not the best
This ebike is a tad tall for me as I am 5'10", but it is EVERYTHING I could have imagined. Powerful. Cruises at 20 mph with throttle only. Managed 40 mph with pedal-assist, and that is ALOT faster than I need to be going on a bike! Handles well. Everyone That has seen it or took it for a spin thinks I hit the JACKPOT with my Blue Hammer! I named it IGOR! LOVE THIS EBIKE!
You’ve got a lot of nice options, including a headlight. You can lead the blind sheep home!
I have the previous model, that doesn’t have the UL Certification. Really believe there not to be really any difference between the two.
I am 6’2” just over 300lbs…..big guys looking for an electric bike that stands out and delivers on everything it promises….and stands out from the other electrics. This is the Animal for you.
Have a little over 200 miles on it at this point and it basically forced me to buy my wife an electric bike as well (not this model or brand). Truly brings a smile to my face every time I ride it, and the best thing is it makes me want to ride it. The exercise you get is really up to what you want to put into it, so don’t believe you can’t get exercise on an e-bike.
As a big guy finding stuff that fits is never easy, and that’s why I am typing this. This almost feels designed for me, and I can actually stretch out on it in comfort without looking like a circus animal riding a bike.. If this is a concern for you….take that off the table and buy it. I have zero regrets.
I get many compliments on the bike, especially from people that like hot rods and muscle cars. I did strip the decals and turned it Rat Fink Rat Rod….if you know you know. So fun and cool.
